We are seeking an experienced Estimator - Roofing Systems to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate and quote for roofing contracts, including maintenance, flat roofing, pitched roofing, refurbishment, and roofing carpentry.
- Review tender enquiries to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Liaise with clients to acquire any additional information necessary for accurate estimating.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices.
- Produce formal quotations to clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tenders and quotations on our internal database.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
- Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Estimate projects ranging in value from £50,000 to £1 million.
- Must have extensive estimating experience in the roofing market sector, dealing with roof tiling, flat roofing, roof carpentry, and lead works.
- Must be proficient in using Blue Beam or STACK estimating software.
- Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong numerical skills.
- IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Confident and articulate individual.
