Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed monthly management reports/accounts with accompanying commentary
  • Produce high-quality and timely financial reporting packs in line with FCA requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain digital accounting processes to increase efficiency and future-proof for continued growth
  • Act as a key point of contact for annual internal and external audits
  • Deputise for the Financial Controller where required, assuming line management for a small team
  • Oversee aged debtor controls and procedures
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Assisting with ongoing accounting projects

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes gained within a fast-developing business. Proven experience of developing and implementing new accounting processes and systems is essential, and the successful candidate should possess strong general IT aptitude (and be highly competent in the use of MS Excel). As the role is highly likely to require the successful candidate to recruit and develop a small transactional finance team, supervisory experience would be desirable, or an aptitude to manage a small team. The role works within a highly energetic team that will recognize the value of an additional accountant in the building, so strong communication skills and commercial awareness will be a must.
