Position Overview
EKFB, a prominent joint venture in the civil engineering sector, combines the expertise of four leading construction firms: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall. Our collective experience spans the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including significant high-speed rail projects.
We are currently in search of a Sub-Agent with substantial experience in Earthworks to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating the construction strategy, which encompasses kick-off meetings and essential pre-commencement documentation, including Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, and Construction programmes.
- Collaborate with the Agent and Section Foreman to effectively allocate resources such as labor, equipment, materials, and temporary works, ensuring compliance with standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Oversee the site engineering team, fostering their performance and professional development.
- Coordinate construction operations, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ).
- Contribute to the development of programmes, progress reports, resource allocation, and financial forecasting, while also managing site measurements and material reconciliations.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- A HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- A valid CSCS card (one of the following: Black, White, White/Yellow, Yellow, or Red Experienced).
- Mandatory SMSTS certification.
- Proven knowledge and practical experience in Site Engineering and construction supervision.
- Experience in Earthworks is essential.
- Previous exposure to quality assurance and geotechnical management is preferred.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
