Priory Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team on weekends at one of our care homes in Bedfordshire. This is a bank role, working on a rota basis, with shifts from 7.00am to 14.30pm.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Home Manager in creating menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring a nutritious and varied menu is available.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Manage food budgets and stocks, checking deliveries as required and storing them in the appropriate areas.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Oversee kitchen staff management, training, recruiting, and rotas.
  • Work on a rota basis with other team members, Monday to Saturday.

Requirements:

  • A confident individual with a creative flair and relevant experience in a similar-sized kitchen.
  • Qualifications in food hygiene, preparation, and cookery.
  • The ability to think on your feet and a passion for food and service.
