Job Summary:
Randstad Construction & Property is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks across Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general electrical maintenance tasks and performing planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
- Testing emergency lighting systems
- Monitoring building management systems (BMS)
- Identifying and resolving electrical faults and issues
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and policies
- Providing excellent customer service and support to clients and contract holders
- Participating in the call-out rota and responding to emergency situations
Requirements:
- Formal apprenticeship and trade qualifications in electrical engineering
- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in electrical installations or a related field
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification
- Experience working in facilities management or building maintenance
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and patient with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and ability to understand complex information
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn and develop skills
