We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team at Spire Murrayfield Edinburgh Hospital.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will work as part of our hospital engineering team, providing a comprehensive and efficient engineering service, maintaining a safe environment for patients, colleagues, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize the Computerised Maintenance Management System (Pirana) to manage building services and ensure compliance with current HTM recommendations and PPM Schedules.

Assist the Estates Manager in managing external contractors, ensuring compliance with Spire policy and reporting any performance issues to the Estates Manager and hospital Senior Management Team.

Undertake maintenance and testing of plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations and manufacturers' instructions.

Receive, review, and prioritize maintenance requests from departments, maintaining records of work undertaken on Pirana.

Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call service for both Edinburgh hospitals.

Provide in-house day-to-day maintenance services, maximizing resources and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

Recognized apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering with C&G qualification in Electrical or Mechanical field.

Relevant certificates or willingness to undertake specialist training in specific areas.
