Job Description

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Children In Need Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of referrals to the service.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Public Law Outline (PLO) teams to ensure effective case management.
  • Attend Child Protection meetings, Case Conferences, and Looked After Children (LAC) reviews to ensure the best interests of the child are represented.
  • Develop and implement Children In Need plans to work directly with children and their families.
  • Prepare and submit court reports, Section 47's, and Core Assessments as required.
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Qualified Social Worker in a Children In Need Team.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (Ackerman Pierce Ltd can assist with obtaining this).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
