Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at True Engineers. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex mechanical, electrical, public health, and sustainable engineering solutions to a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team of experts to design and develop mechanical services for various projects, including heating, cooling, ventilation, hot and cold water systems, and above ground drainage.
- Prepare and develop concept, feasibility, and detailed design proposals, including specifications, drawings, calculations, and thermal modeling.
- Utilize industry-leading software, such as IES or TAS, to perform energy calculations and thermal modeling.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit, with a strong understanding of building information modeling (BIM) principles.
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients, colleagues, and contractors through effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with UK design legislation and guidance, ensuring compliance and best practices in mechanical building services design.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical services design in the UK, with a strong understanding of building services and mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in IES or TAS software, with a strong understanding of thermal modeling and energy calculations.
- A minimum HNC/HND level in building services or mechanical engineering, or equivalent degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
