About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Road Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the Service Road Team and ensuring the smooth delivery of our cleaning and waste management services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist the Service Road Team/Housekeeping in the delivery of cleaning and waste management services
  • Waste collection and recycling, providing support and advice to Retailers as needed
  • Provide adequate information to the Service Road Team that report into you
  • Carry out reactive works, which may involve supporting Events logistics, equipment removal, and stock management
  • Monitor staffing levels and ensure sufficient cover
  • Experience of dealing with COSHH and Risk assessments for staff
  • Support wider business requirements, including ad-hoc requests
  • Good understanding of cleaning machinery, Compactors, FLT, and usage
  • Scheduling for job roles
  • Selection and Resourcing
  • Deal with customer requests promptly and courteously
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly
  • Proactively look at ways to improve recycling rates, attending Waste provider site and Environmental seminars to stay up-to-date on new innovations
Requirements:
  • Experience within the Waste Sector/Recycling/Environment/H&S
  • Driving licence - Essential
  • FLT licence - Essential
  • Self-driven, working well on own and as part of a team
  • Stock control experience of consumables
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
Personal Characteristics/Attributes:
  • Presentation and professionalism with effective interpersonal skills
  • Keen on sustainability and the environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
