Job Title: Examination Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Examination Specialist to join our team at Pearson. As an Examination Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our assessment delivery system.

About the Role

The Examination Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the standards of our externally assessed units are maintained and consistent with our unit specifications and assessment criteria. This will involve:

  1. Ensuring the timely delivery of contracted units.
  2. Updating mark schemes and guidance before pre-standardisation meetings.
  3. Marking live candidates' responses to quality assure as part of a supervisory role.
  4. Monitoring the progress of supervisors and examiners.
  5. Acting as a senior point of escalation across the quality assurance process.
  6. Monitoring and reporting to the Assessment team after standardisation and completion of marking.
  7. Supporting in awarding activities by writing reports to the Awarding Committee.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Experience and knowledge of quality assurance and assessment practice.
  2. Ability to lead and support essential quality assurance activities.
  3. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements.
  4. Report writing skills within a regulated industry.
