DevOps Engineer for Global Applications

KolorBlue Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the stability, performance, and scalability of our global applications.

As a member of our Technical Operations team, you will collaborate with engineers and developers to ensure seamless application delivery and support. Your expertise in automation, cloud technologies, and system administration will be instrumental in driving innovation and efficiency within our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive second and third-level support for a suite of critical applications.
  • Proactively diagnose and resolve complex issues across diverse functional areas, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Execute change management procedures across production, UAT, and development environments.
  • Contribute to ongoing migration initiatives focused on enhancing maintainability, performance, and high availability.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and recommend strategies for optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and development teams to ensure a highly available and resilient system architecture.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and perform weekend maintenance tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or BASH.
  • In-depth familiarity with web servers (specifically Apache) and the development of CGI scripts.
  • Proven experience supporting production applications in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid understanding of Linux system administration principles, preferably with Red Hat or CentOS distributions.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques (TCP/UDP, load balancing, NAT, firewalls).
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills, capable of identifying, isolating, and resolving issues across various layers, from the kernel to application and network domains.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms with a strong preference for AWS.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with Artifactory management tools such as JFrog Nexus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure deployment tools like Terraform.
  • Experience in running and troubleshooting Java applications.
