We are in search of a highly proficient Senior React Native Engineer to join our UK division and contribute to the development and launch of our new application. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating a platform that delivers a comprehensive automotive experience to users. With a strong focus on collaboration and a growth-oriented mindset, you will enable us to provide innovative app solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering teams, architects, and product managers.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Lead Contributor, you will assist in constructing a modern application platform that ensures an outstanding user experience:
  • Deliver high-quality code by enhancing coding standards and best practices, considering broader requirements such as performance, reliability, availability, scalability, and security.
  • Actively engage with the engineering department through knowledge sharing and architectural discussions.
  • Facilitate positive agile team outcomes by ensuring engineering decisions account for technical debt, system design, stability, reliability, monitoring, and business objectives.
  • Support pragmatic decision-making regarding trade-offs between perfection and technical debt in alignment with our business priorities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Demonstrated experience as a commercial React Native Engineer with applications available on major app stores.
  • Proven track record of successfully integrating APIs from various sources into a unified application platform.
  • Familiarity with the Expo framework.
  • Experience in mobile development or other engineering roles utilizing technologies such as Kotlin or Swift.
  • Ability to create and integrate native Kotlin/Swift modules.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG 2.0 AA compliance and WAI-ARIA standards.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Expertise in developing efficient and scalable state management patterns.
  • Knowledge of mobile performance optimization and monitoring techniques.
  • Proficient in debugging and testing React Native applications.
  • Experience with agile, lean, or extreme programming methodologies.
