About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and test software applications using C and other relevant programming languages.
  • Embedded Systems: Develop software for embedded systems, including low-level microprocessor code and higher-level software designs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software engineers to deliver specific project goals and objectives.
  • Code Quality: Ensure that all code is of high quality, robust, and meets company standards.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems.
  • Skills: Proficient in C, C++, and other relevant programming languages. Experience with source control tools such as SubVersion and Git.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • C++ Experience: Experience with C++ in an embedded environment.
  • Object-Oriented Design: Experience with object-oriented design and programming.
  • GUI Design: Familiarity with desktop application and GUI/event-based design.
  • Issue-Tracking Tools: Knowledge of issue-tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Software Release: Knowledge of releasing software to production.
  • DO-178: Knowledge of DO-178 would be advantageous.
