About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Primary School in Farnborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Behaviour Management Support: Collaborate with teachers to implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group work support to students, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the school's SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement tailored intervention plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Student Well-being: Contribute to the overall well-being of students, fostering a positive school ethos and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Empathy and Patience: Demonstrate a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs, promoting a culture of understanding and respect.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant qualifications in education or psychology, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
