About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Farnborough. As a key member of the school team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group work support to students with SEN, helping them to develop their communication, social skills, and independence.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of students and contribute to a positive school ethos.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
