Job Title: Team Leader – Project Delivery Engineering

Salary: £54,793 – £59,771 depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

As a Team Leader – Project Delivery Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a team of Project Engineers who deliver Production related equipment projects from concept to completion within specific timescales and budgets.

You will work in conjunction with internal stakeholders from areas such as Production, Engineering, Quality, Facilities Management (Infrastructure), Safety, Procurement; and external Suppliers, sub-contractors, and other governance bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Leadership:
    1. Lead a team of Project Engineers in delivering Production related equipment projects.
    2. Ensure detailed facility specifications are compiled by Engineers working with internal customers.
    3. Establish potential solutions and secure appropriate funding.
  2. Communication and Engagement:
    1. Ensure effective communication and engagement at all levels within the organisation.
    2. Particularly with internal customers.
  3. Project Delivery:
    1. Ensure that the team delivers projects in a timely manner.
    2. Accountable for cost management and reporting progress to Senior Management and customers.
Requirements:
  1. Essential:
    1. Working/Worked in a discipline related to mechanical or electrical engineering.
    2. Experience in the project guidance of Production related equipment in areas such as Machining, Fabrications, Non-Destructive testing, Additive Layer Manufacturing, component treatment and finishing.
    3. Delivering equipment projects within a manufacturing production environment while managing Quality/Deliverables, time, cost, schedule.
    4. Managing a team of Project Engineers and reporting on Project progress.
    5. HNC or HND qualification (or similar) with an Engineering Discipline.
  2. Desirable:
    1. Experience working within an automated manufacturing production environment, ideally within Aerospace.
    2. Experience working within a heavily regulated industry.
