Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Diabetes Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced highly specialist practitioner psychologist to join our Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service (DPPS) as part of the adult diabetes team at King's College Hospital.

Main Duties:
  • Provide specialist psychological screening, assessment, and treatment to patients with type 1/complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties.
  • Become a valuable source of psychological expertise for the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
  • Consult and teach within the MDT setting.
Person Specification:
  • Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional).
  • Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent).
  • Completed training course in clinical supervision.
  • Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
  • Evidence of having worked with people with medical conditions as a clinical specialist under supervision.
