About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Cambridge-based quantum software team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our research and software teams to continuously improve the usability and reliability of our cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software using Python, Rust, or Modern C++ and deploy it to cloud-based AWS or Azure platforms.
  • Collaborate with our research team to build software that supports their scientific developments.
  • Lead engineering discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Work with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies and Terraform or other "Infrastructure as Code" tools.
  • Deploy software to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Confidence in leading engineering discussions and decision-making.
  • Experience developing in Python.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies.
  • Experience working with Terraform or other "Infrastructure as Code" tools.
  • Experience deploying software to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of/Interest in Quantum Computing.
  • Knowledge of common distributed system architectures.
  • Experience developing in Typescript.
