Software Engineer - Cloud Platform

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Cambridge-based quantum software team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our research and software teams to continuously improve the usability and reliability of our cloud platform.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Confidence in leading engineering discussions and decision making
  • Experience developing in Python
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies
  • Experience working with Terraform or other "Infrastructure as Code" tools
  • Experience deploying software to managed cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Experience working with or a desire to learn Rust
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering

It would be desirable to have:

  • Experience working in Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of/Interest in Quantum Computing
  • Knowledge of common distributed system architectures
  • Experience developing in Typescript
