Position Title – SHEQ Advisor (South)
Location – Remote, with required travel to various locations across the South region of the country 3 to 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a crucial role in the continuous development of SHEQ and Energy management systems within Hydro's UK operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while fostering a positive SHEQ and Energy culture. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring adherence to all applicable SHEQ and Energy legislation and standards.
- Collaborating with the SHEQ and Energy Manager and management teams to oversee ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, and 50001 management systems.
- Facilitating external audits and site visits.
- Mentoring management and teams on SHEQ and energy compliance.
- Promoting a proactive safety culture across the organization.
- Maintaining accurate records and conducting statistical analysis for reporting.
- Supporting Safety Representatives and Green Champions.
- Monitoring implementation of mitigation measures on-site.
- Managing the NCR and Asset/Facilities registers.
- Delivering SHEQ and Energy training programs, including inductions.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A full driving license.
- Over 5 years of SHEQ experience, preferably in the water, engineering, or fabrication sectors.
- NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and auditing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Quality auditing experience.
- Energy management expertise.
- CSCS Black card.
- EUSR National Water Hygiene Training.
- Confined Space training.
