Are you committed to enhancing the educational experience of students through effective behaviour management? GSL Education is in search of a dedicated Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join our team, focusing on the social and emotional growth of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement behaviour support strategies as outlined by educators and SENCO, ensuring a consistent approach to managing student behaviour.
  • Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups facing behavioural challenges, aiding them in understanding and regulating their emotions.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by promoting constructive behaviour and social skills.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and external experts to create and assess behaviour intervention plans suited to each student's needs.
  • Track student behaviour and progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating updates to educators and guardians as needed.
  • Assist educators in fostering a productive learning environment by employing proactive strategies and offering support during instructional time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting students with behavioural difficulties in educational or similar environments.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience in assisting students with their emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a cohesive team, contributing positively to the school community.
