About CAD Architects Ltd

We are a RIBA Chartered Practice based in Truro, Cornwall, delivering development, new-build, and alteration projects across the southwest and beyond.

Our multi-disciplined team of specialists offers a wealth of expertise in design and delivery, with standalone Heritage, Planning, and Development Consultancies providing additional skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from Initial Briefing to securing Planning Permission, ensuring strong communication with clients and external consultants
  • Design for various construction methods, with a strong understanding of the UK Planning system and heritage-sensitive sites
  • Develop knowledge of UK Building Regulations and their implications from Concept Design stage onward
  • Utilize AutoCAD and REVIT skills, with experience working with existing buildings, including traditional construction
  • Collaborate with junior staff and be enthusiastic about conversion, adaptation, and renovation schemes, including listed or historic buildings

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience running architectural projects in the southwest
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic REVIT skills
  • Knowledge of the UK Planning system and heritage-sensitive sites
  • Understanding of UK Building Regulations and their implications

Support and Development

We will support RIBA Accreditation if not already held, and consider alternative roles for candidates with extensive experience running architectural projects in the southwest.
