About the Role:

Adele Carr Recruitment is proud to be supporting the recruitment needs of a leading Supply Chain and logistics company, for their Liverpool office who are keen to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger to join our client's accounts payable team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing all UK and overseas payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and credits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Processing: Pass invoices and credits for select suppliers (high Volume), raise payments on Sage and through bank, and ensure all credits/payments are allocated accordingly to ensure no transactions are left outstanding on accounts.
  • Account Management: Keep accounts on Sage up to date, ensure payment amounts and supplier names are updated to the payment sheets in a timely manner for Team Leader to process on to cash flow sheets.
  • Escalation and Query Management: Escalate query invoices with operations when and where needed, and ensure any issues or potential problems are flagged to team leader at the earliest opportunity so these can be dealt with swiftly.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Process weekly bank rec's for selected accounts across RBS banks, and ensure all accounts balance back to nominal.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all relevant paperwork is saved correctly to the shared drive.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: A professional transactions supervisor with a proven background in accounts payable.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of working within a large, fast-moving business with a global reach.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: A self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive and enthusiastic outlook who can work independently with minimal supervision, and a skilled communicator who can influence others and engage with a wide range of stakeholders including non-finance.
