Business Studies Educator, Sgoil Lionacleit

The primary objective of this position is to enhance the overall effectiveness of the educational institution in the following key areas:

(a) Curriculum Development

(b) Student Care and Welfare

(c) Collaborative Practices

(d) Professional Growth.

In accordance with the policies of the school and the educational authority, the responsibilities of educators include executing tasks as directed by the headteacher, while maintaining a reasonable consideration for overall teacher workload in the following categories:

1 Delivering instruction to assigned classes, along with necessary preparation and assessment.

2 Contributing to the development of the school curriculum.

3 Evaluating, documenting, and reporting on student progress.

4 Preparing students for assessments and aiding in the administration of examinations.

5 Offering guidance and support to students regarding their educational journey.

6 Promoting and ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of students.

7 Collaborating with parents, support staff, and other professionals.

8 Engaging in relevant and agreed-upon continuous professional development.

9 Participating in school planning, enhancing achievement, and individual reviews.

The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree or diploma and hold GTC Scotland Registration.
