Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Safety Manager to join our team at Clarion Housing. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of safety and wellbeing services for our Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety (England) Regulations, and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify and mitigate building safety risks, ensuring a holistic and joined-up approach to risk management and building safety.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, residents, and contractors to ensure the delivery of building safety services.
- Champion residents' concerns and engage with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
- Travel across regions to other sites to provide support and guidance on building safety matters.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of building safety and the implications of new legislation.
- Appropriate qualifications or willingness to study for a Diploma in Building Safety Management or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of safety legislation, regulation, and best practice relating to building safety.
- Confidence and experience in liaising at the highest level and challenging on building safety-related work.
