Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Instrument Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Kintec Global Recruitment. As an Instrument Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and instrumentation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on electrical systems and instrumentation equipment to identify and address potential issues.
- Carry out non-routine maintenance repairs and troubleshooting to resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct routine servicing of process control instrumentation equipment, including transmitters, controllers, and analysers.
- Assist with vendor-specified routine maintenance and ensure all site services are in good working order.
- Respond to 24-hour call-outs and provide advice on plant breakdowns outside normal working hours.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, adhering to safe working practices.
- Assist other technicians and operational staff as needed, demonstrating a general understanding of process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Perform equipment isolations to ensure safe maintenance practices.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new plant facilities.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of maintenance experience on equipment related to installed instrument and/or electrical equipment.
- Possess instrument qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ level 3) with a good working knowledge in electrical.
Competencies:
- Ability to plan and prioritize daily activities to ensure safe and efficient operation of safety systems and process control systems.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to exchange knowledge and collaborate with all levels of management and commercial third parties.
