About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Stress Engineer to join our dynamic team at Collins Aerospace, driving the development of cutting-edge aerospace nacelle technology. This role offers a rare chance to innovate within a small team of technical pioneers, based in our brand-new Wolverhampton facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preliminary and detailed structural analysis for electric actuation and subsystems.
  • Engage in the entire product lifecycle from concept design to production support.
  • Use classical and computational methods for stress analysis.
  • Plan and manage analysis workload to support rapid product development.
  • Develop new and innovative analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and interface with customers.
  • Support new business opportunities and customer relationships.
  • Contribute to engineering strategy and technology roadmap.
Technical Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrable expertise in structural analysis.
  • Experience with Ansys, MathCAD, and CATIA preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of classical analysis methods and structural FEA.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in structural analysis.
  • Strong communication skills.
