As an Aerospace Stress Engineer, you will provide expert guidance to the broader stress engineering community across the Actuation Systems engineering sites, including those in the UK, France, Italy, the US, Poland, and India. You will be responsible for overseeing stress analysis, guiding decision-making processes for both new product designs and ongoing production support.
This role will involve leveraging simulation results alongside informed engineering judgments to drive sound engineering decisions. You will lead and oversee all stress-related activities concerning the assessment of structural integrity and safety of aerospace systems, including comprehensive stress analyses such as static, fatigue, damage tolerance, and dynamic calculations.
We are looking for a highly skilled Aerospace Stress Engineer with a proven ability to solve complex structural analysis problems and make informed, high-impact decisions under pressure. You will collaborate closely with design, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure the seamless integration of stress analysis throughout the product development process-from initial design and development through to production and aftermarket support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all stress-related activities concerning the assessment of structural integrity and safety of aerospace systems.
- Collaborate closely with design, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure the seamless integration of stress analysis throughout the product development process.
- Serve as the delegated authority for stress signatures at the site, responsible for reviewing and approving drawings, engineering documentation, change proposals, customer deliverables, and concessions.
