Finance Assistant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to support our finance department in day-to-day financial tasks. The successful candidate will have experience working with multiple currencies, including dollars, euros, and pounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations for currency accounts.
  • Assist with stock records and reports.
  • Input approved staff expenses.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and EU/UK VAT returns.
  • Reconcile monthly sales invoices and maintain fixed asset register.
  • Perform financial due diligence on new suppliers and review outstanding POs.
  • Maintain prepayment schedules and manage product swap transactions.
  • Prepare accruals schedules and reconcile P&L and balance sheet.
  • Allocate product supplier and ancillary invoices.
  • Prepare weekly commercial reports and variance analysis.
  • Conduct financial analysis and assist in forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Finance Assistant.
  • Experience working with multiple currencies (dollars, euros, pounds).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for effective liaison with stakeholders.
  • Professional demeanor, able to handle conflict and pressure.
  • Proficiency in databases, Excel (intermediate), Word, and Sage accounts.
  • Positive attitude towards acquiring new skills and knowledge.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in a high-performing finance team.
  • Experience using Sage 50, Navision, Excel, and Word.
  • AAT Qualification.
