Job Title: Clinical Lead Podiatrist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead Podiatrist to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical leadership in diabetic foot care and work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced level clinical and professional leadership in diabetic foot care
  • Work with the Professional Lead to ensure staff are clinically competent and services are clinically effective and safe
  • Develop key partnerships with Operational Team Leads and Clinical Services Manager to ensure services continue to develop in line with Trust transformation programmes and the SCFT Clinical Strategy
  • Support the development of staff and provide training as needed
Requirements:
  • Significant postgraduate experience and relevant managerial experience
  • Experience of supervision provision and working in the clinical setting
  • Experience of managing a multi-professional team/collaborative working
  • Experience of delivering quality improvement and productivity
  • Evidence of active participation in audit and clinically relevant research
Qualifications and/or Professional Qualification:
  • Professional qualification such as a degree or equivalent in podiatry
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a podiatrist
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses/CPD and reflective practice relevant to clinical specialty
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrate expertise within clinical area underpinned by theory and significant experience
  • Excellent leadership and ability to empower others in practice
  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to negotiate and manage conflict
