Understanding Recruitment is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to become part of a dynamic software development team focused on creating a machine learning-based investment portfolio monitoring and analytics solution. This tool empowers private equity firms to enhance their investment decision-making processes.
As a member of a compact engineering team, you will contribute to the development of a robust and scalable platform, navigating the intricacies of a machine learning-driven backend that processes substantial data from diverse sources. The current infrastructure operates on Kubernetes within a cloud environment, utilizing a Python-based backend.
Joining at this stage of the company's growth, you will have the opportunity to shape the platform's strategic direction and influence the evolution of the technology stack in the forthcoming months. You will collaborate closely with the CTO/Co-Founder, a seasoned professional in the FinTech sector, who is actively involved in the development process and will provide invaluable mentorship.
We are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer with the following qualifications:
- Proven experience with Kubernetes in a production setting
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure, but we are open to candidates with experience in other public cloud platforms
- Solid programming skills in Python; while you are not required to be a full-fledged developer, a strong understanding of Python is essential
- A background in FinTech or machine learning is advantageous but not mandatory
Compensation: Competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 plus equity, with flexibility based on experience level.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration.
