Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Partner to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic financial support to our service areas.

As a Financial Business Partner, you will be responsible for implementing the business partnering function for our specified service areas. You will work closely with our service leadership teams to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide financial advice and support to service managers with budget responsibility of up to £200m.
  2. Lead and manage a team of up to 6 FTEs, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective delivery of financial management services.
  3. Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of our service areas, working closely with stakeholders to identify financial risks and opportunities.
  4. Advise the Strategic Business Partners on matters that require referral to the Chief Financial Officer, ensuring that funding, financial management, and accounting requirements are met.
  5. Contribute to the development of our Integra Financial Management System, working with designated service areas and the team responsible for maintenance and development.
  6. Lead, manage, and motivate staff through excellent communication, professional guidance, and support, ensuring that our finance staff deliver high-quality services to our customers.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified CCAB Accountant or equivalent with relevant finance qualifications and experience in local government finance. You will have a sound knowledge of accounting principles and standards, as well as experience in financial appraisals, modelling techniques, and business case development.

You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences. Experience of attending Member Committees and/or other corporate/board meetings is also essential.
