We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Optometrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality eye care services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head Optometrist in providing core Optometry services and developing extended roles.
- Undertake highly specialist advanced clinical extended roles with previous experience of training and working in extended optometry roles and shared-care clinics.
- Provide specialist low vision assessment and contact lens fitting services.
- Contribute to the development of the Optometry Department and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Registration with the General Optical Council as an Optometrist.
- Postgraduate optometry qualifications or a willingness to work towards these.
- Equivalent BSc(Hons) Ophthalmic Optics or Optometry/Vision Science degree.
- Previous experience in hospital optometry and training in extended optometry roles.
- A supportive and collaborative team environment.
