Facilities Operations Manager

Moston is seeking a skilled Facilities Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our Woodland View Hospital facility. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Planned Maintenance and Repair: Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Reactive Maintenance and Response: Respond promptly to unexpected equipment failures and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. Collaborate with the Contract TSM to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and other relevant statutory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Foster a culture of safety and quality within the team.
- On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for maintenance-related issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
