Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud data engineering, with expertise in Azure, Databricks, Python, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Cloud Data Offerings: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing cloud data offerings, including Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS, and Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: The candidate will collaborate with Data Engineers, Solutions Architects, and a Scrum Master to ensure seamless integration of data engineering solutions.
  • Replicate Global Systems: The Senior Data Engineer will replicate global systems and replicate tables, columns, and rows into data lakes.
  • Implement New Services: The candidate will collaborate with both direct teams and wider business areas to implement new services.
  • Work in a DevOps Environment: The Senior Data Engineer will work in a DevOps environment, ensuring code management and deployment automation.

Requirements:

  • London/Lloyd's Market Insurance Experience: London/Lloyd's Market insurance experience will be a significant advantage. Financial Services exposure is required.
  • Azure Cloud Solutions: Knowledge of Azure cloud solutions, including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake.
  • DevOps Experience: DevOps experience for code management and deployment automation.
  • Expert SQL and Python Programming: Expert SQL and Python programming skills are required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile teams.
