Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud data engineering, with expertise in Azure, Databricks, Python, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Cloud Data Offerings: The successful candidate will design and develop cloud data offerings using Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS, and Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: The candidate will collaborate with data engineers, solutions architects, and a scrum master to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Replicate Global Systems: The candidate will replicate global systems and replicate tables, columns, and rows into a data lake.
  • Implement New Services: The candidate will collaborate with both direct teams and wider business areas to implement new services.
  • Work in a DevOps Environment: The candidate will work in a DevOps environment, managing code and deploying automation.

Requirements:

  • London/Lloyd's Market Insurance Experience: London/Lloyd's Market insurance experience will be a significant advantage.
  • Cloud Data Engineering Expertise: The candidate must have expertise in Azure cloud solutions, including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake.
  • DevOps Experience: The candidate must have experience in DevOps, including code management and deployment automation.
  • Programming Skills: The candidate must have expert SQL and Python programming skills.
  • Communication Skills: The candidate must have excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile teams.
