We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Store Supervisor to join our team at Barbour's Covent Garden store. As a key member of our retail team, you will assist the Store Manager with day-to-day duties, oversee staff, and ensure a customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with running the store on a daily basis, ensuring all staff are performing to the expected standard.
- Manage performance and deal with staff issues.
- Act as a role model for all employees, exhibiting a high level of service and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Delegate tasks to employees and supervise their work.
- Provide additional training and coaching when needed.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues that employees are not authorized to handle on their own.
- Motivate employees to perform well and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain strong communication with management, keeping confidential matters and ensuring feedback is given to aid the smooth running of the store.
- Experience in retail, preferably in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment.
- Strong leadership skills and an authoritative nature.
- Able to deal with customer disputes and compliments, not afraid of confrontation.
- Capable of working under pressure and fostering teamwork.
- Attention to detail and ability to educate and assist with the growth of others.
- Flexibility on working hours is essential.
