We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our finance team at our Head Office. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in providing commercial insights to the Management team, partnering with the business to optimize and challenge financial performance, and driving/supporting commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare weekly trading reports and dashboards, as well as weekly CEO updates.
- Prepare monthly presentations on trading performance, identifying key trends and drivers of results.
- Work closely with the management accounts team to understand monthly performance by site, brand, and location.
- Review P&L cost items on a regular basis to develop an understanding of the cost base and present key trends.
- Partner with key stakeholders to improve reporting impact and efficiency.
- Actively look to improve reporting impact and efficiency in preparation by maximizing the use of the SAP analytics tool and aiming to reduce reliance on spreadsheets and manual data manipulation.
- Work closely with the Country Manager to optimize performance, cost control, and improve profitability.
- Provide support and information to improve decision-making.
- Lead and manage the annual budget preparation and presentation.
- Other analysis or tasks as requested by the Country Manager, Head of Finance, or EG Group teams.
- Management responsibility of 4 direct reports, including the development of roles and responsibilities.
- Qualified Accountant.
- Efficient - working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and/or SAP.
- Possess commercial and analytical acumen.
- Ability to establish the appropriate frameworks and processes.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt, and respond to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with ability to develop, encourage, and lead a strong high-performance team.
- Confident presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders where necessary.
- Multi-site experience either in hospitality or retail (desirable).
