Job Title: Quality Production Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Production Specialist to join our team at Boeing Sheffield. As a Quality Production Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of precision machined components and providing feedback to Quality Technicians and Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final inspections of precision machined components using various inspection methods.
  • Provide feedback on the inspection process to Quality Technicians and Engineers.
  • Review work instructions for completeness.
  • Perform in-process inspections to support the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in problem-solving events when requested.
  • Reject defective parts, as required.
  • Note discrepant condition(s) of products in line with the company reporting standard.
  • Process quality records per appropriate procedures to maintain accountability, acceptance, and status.
  • Maintain personal and equipment certifications, as required.
  • Work safely and within the confinements of the site Health and Safety management system.
  • Assist other employees with functions, methods, and procedures by passing on information and answering questions.
  • Contact team leader/supervisor when assistance is needed.
  • Consult with management and/or others on process or job-related issues as required.
  • Work with others as part of a team, including giving and receiving feedback, assisting others in completion of tasks, and providing on-the-job-training to others.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment; time management skills are crucial.
  • Must be conscientious in what you do, paying close attention to detail at every step of the process.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must have experience as a Quality Inspector or in the use of associated inspection equipment and processes.
  • A solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Apprentice-trained or equivalent experience in a precision machined engineering environment.

Typical Education/Experience:

BTEC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.

Shift:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Initially day shift for 1 week for training purposes, but the role is a morning/afternoon bi-weekly rotating shift pattern for the routine work schedule.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
