We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Group Facilitator to join our Mental Health and Complex Needs service at Hestia Housing Support. As a Senior Group Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with mental health needs to achieve independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of person-centered support plans to promote recovery and social inclusion.
- Provide management support and guidance to Group Facilitators, Volunteers, and Social Work Students to ensure high-quality support services.
- Collaborate with the Group Activities Coordinator to oversee performance metrics, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure that service users have access to a range of socially inclusive activities and skills development opportunities.
- Advise on health services, education, training, and employment opportunities to support service users' goals.
- Develop and maintain a rolling program of group activities based on needs assessments, consultations, and local/national recovery programs.
- Ensure that services and activities meet the needs of diverse service users, including those from African, Caribbean, and Arabic speaking backgrounds.
- Support the Group Activities Coordinator in staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal, as well as identifying training needs and managing disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Maintain the health and safety of the building, including conducting daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
- Demonstrable experience working with individuals with mental health needs and complex support requirements.
- Good knowledge of implementing and delivering co-production models in mental health settings.
- Experience providing high-quality day services, including compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of methods for assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing, and monitoring person-centered support plans.
- Motivation to maintain professional standards and ability to use peer and management support to maintain resilience and provide a whole-team approach.
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly, including some out-of-hours work during evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
- Experience working with referral agencies to ensure timely and effective referrals to the service.
