Position Overview: In light of the growth within our theatre and minor operations division, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to oversee our supply team within the Operating Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the supply area and supervise the team to maintain optimal stock levels for all surgical and anaesthetic needs.
  • Utilize computer systems for effective ordering, inventory management, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate with the line manager and operational manager for procurement, ensuring the acquisition of necessary goods through NHS contracts and approved suppliers.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication across various platforms, with the ability to generate comprehensive verbal and written reports regarding stock levels using the designated ordering systems.
  • A minimum qualification of SVQ III or equivalent, achieved through relevant experience, knowledge, and training.
  • Familiarity with NHS Forth Valley's purchasing protocols is advantageous, though experience in a large public sector environment will also be considered.

Additional Information: The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.
