Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our Financial Planning & Stress Testing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the Society remains financially stable and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver high-quality financial planning and stress testing reports, presentations, and management information.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues to obtain information and insights to support financial planning and stress testing activities.
  • Produce clear and concise reports, presentations, and management information to inform strategic decision-making and drive business insights.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external controls, governance processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience in financial planning or stress testing exercises.
  • Knowledge of net interest income, capital, or credit modeling principles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to various audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
