About the Position

We are looking for dedicated and customer-oriented Leisure Attendants to become part of our vibrant team at Swim Central. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting environment for all visitors. Your main duties will encompass overseeing activities, delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring cleanliness, and facilitating the overall effective operation of the facilities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Deliver a welcoming and efficient service to all guests, addressing inquiries, sharing information about our offerings, and ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Facility Oversight: Supervise the use of leisure amenities, including swimming pools, ensuring the safety and welfare of all patrons.
  • Safety Compliance: Uphold facility regulations, perform regular safety inspections, and respond swiftly to any incidents or emergencies, providing first aid as needed.
  • Sanitation and Upkeep: Ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facilities, including changing areas, showers, and equipment. Promptly report any maintenance concerns.
  • Event Assistance: Support the preparation and organization of activities, classes, and events, ensuring that equipment is ready and participants are guided appropriately.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate closely with fellow team members to ensure the smooth operation of the leisure center, providing mutual support and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
  • Administrative Duties: Execute administrative responsibilities such as managing bookings, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Essential:

  • Prior experience in a customer service capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Basic computer skills
  • A positive mindset and proactive problem-solving approach
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience in a recreational or sports environment
  • Relevant Lifeguarding certifications
