Operations Director

The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of contracted work(s) and supervise Works Managers and their teams in conjunction with the company's policies and procedures while fulfilling the terms of their contract of employment and roles and responsibilities of any other roles held within the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Worksite Management: Manage and populate boards daily, create daily job packs, and manage Works Managers on-call staff and works.
- Productivity and Progress: Manage and populate lookahead boards and daily productivity, obtain midday progress reports and end-of-shift feedback from Works Managers or Supervisors.
- Health and Safety: Take care of your own health and safety, and others who might be affected by your actions, conduct weekly toolbox talks, and provide health and safety leadership to your team.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, ensure vehicles inspections are carried out correctly and on time, and check and approve weekly timesheets ready to be submitted to payroll.
- Team Supervision: Supervise Managers' diaries, coordinate with daily and lookahead boards, and attend weekly managers' meetings providing details of issues, feedback, and resolutions.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits prior to new works commencing, communicate policies, procedures, and business updates to colleagues, and manage vehicle and equipment defects and inspections.
- Disciplinary Meetings: Conduct disciplinary meetings, investigations, and liaise with the HSE Manager.
- Employee Management: Manage holiday requests, on-call engineers, and employee sickness, liaise with Managers to agree scopes of work and work scheduling, and ensure paperwork is completed.
- Company Values: Uphold the core company values, inspire, and encourage the same throughout the team, and ensure all close calls, accidents, and incidents reporting/investigations are carried out as per the company's procedures.
Requirements: Ensure sufficient and competent resources are in place as identified by Managers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of clients' works.
