About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Subject Lead in Geography to join our team at Star Academies. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an exciting curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

As a Subject Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our students, inspiring them to achieve their full potential and develop a passion for Geography. You will work closely with our leadership team to drive improvement and excellence in teaching and learning, and contribute to the development of our school's curriculum and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers to achieve high standards of teaching and learning
  • Contribute to the development of our school's curriculum and policies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard
  • The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets
  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement
  • Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners
