Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious teacher of Geography to take on a middle leadership role within our school. As a Subject Area Leader, you will be responsible for shaping and leading the Geography curriculum, driving academic outcomes and performance across all phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Geography curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Lead and manage a team of Geography teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure consistency and coherence across the curriculum
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to Geography

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of teaching Geography at KS3, KS4, and A level
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Geography
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students
  • Commitment to inclusion and the well-being of every young person
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
