About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a highly motivated and academically strong Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Hollyhurst, a specialist residential service with nursing in Darlington, County Durham.

Job Summary

We are looking for a confident and passionate Assistant Psychologist to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with assessments, scoring and reporting, clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment, planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes, and administration, audit, research and service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
  • Assist with clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate individual / group programmes
  • Support with administration, audit, research and service development

Requirements

We are seeking an academically strong candidate with a degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent, BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited, and preferably experienced in healthcare and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role. The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
