We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to join our client's team in Sittingbourne. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of routine electrical and instrumentation preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and take ownership of complex electrical and instrumentation problems, using appropriate fault-finding skills and tools to aid diagnosis.
- Collaborate with colleagues across engineering departments to produce and implement work plan packs and schedules to maintain maximum efficiency of assets.
- Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times, complying with company safety procedures and legislation.
- Participate in company investigations, including root cause analysis, risk assessments, and developing maintenance procedures as required.
- Function as a technical lead, making decisions and solving problems, and reporting outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Estimate the total cost of each maintenance task/work order, considering direct labour and materials, and availability of special parts and tools.
- Work with Production Planning and Management to create optimal maintenance and shutdown schedules, and communicate these to relevant teams.
- Salary up to £60,000

- Time served with recognised qualifications
- Experience in heavy manufacturing/engineering
- Established understanding in core Electrical principles and infrastructure
- Understanding of Automation, Control, and Instrumentation, together with experience in Variable speed drives
- Understanding of relevant Electrical and Automation standards
