About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Team Lead to join our Perinatal Mental Health team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading the nursing team and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to women and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team and coordinate shifts to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend ward rounds and CPA meetings to ensure comprehensive care planning.
  • Provide individualized support to patients and their families, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, promoting their professional development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the leadership structure of the unit, working collaboratively with management to drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee admissions and discharges, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Escalate concerns and make referrals as necessary, working closely with social services and other stakeholders.
  • Support the development of positive parent-infant relationships, promoting healthy attachment and bonding.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in perinatal mental health, incorporating evidence-based approaches into care delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health with current NMC registration.
  • Previous experience as a Band 5 nurse, with supervisory and management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Knowledge of perinatal mental health, including risk assessment and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
