We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Team Lead to join our Perinatal Mental Health team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading the nursing team and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to women and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team and coordinate shifts to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend ward rounds and CPA meetings to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide individualized support to patients and their families, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the leadership structure of the unit, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Oversee admissions and discharges, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Escalate concerns and make referrals as necessary, working closely with social services and legal frameworks.
  • Support the development of parent-infant relationships, promoting healthy attachment and bonding.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in perinatal mental health.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health with a current and live NMC PIN number.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in supervisory and management roles, with a track record of success in leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of perinatal mental health, including risk assessment, care planning, and medication management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and compassion.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
